mustard in london

ola,
sitting here in saatchi's basement having the sunniest day outside is not really what i call fun. thinking about 100 concept lines for coleman's mustard, however, is even less fun. fucking mustard. then again, it's for the guys at grey and they are nice. two guys that graduated from mase 2 years or so ago and are now cds at grey. they're like: if no one understands ur idea but u, it's worth it. i hope that's what i will be saying to the guys from mase in a year or two when they come stumbling into my office...;)
anyhow, london has proven to be what i expected. it's great. especially with the kind of weather i thought was so untypical of britain. its about 26°C and everybody is lying somewhere in the Hyde Park or sitting outside in one of the various coffee places. starbucks is everywhere, i mean everywhere, just like the indian people. a package of cigarretts is 5.90 pounds and i m seriously considering to stop smoking. after i have my 100 lines for mustard.
oh and yes, i found a flat, well, a room. its a small room in a little british house. quite cute, with a fireplace and a stupidly soft bed in which i can't sleep without getting a soar back every morning. but its ony 15 min from saatchi.
ann is here with me, too. she brought her bike-no surprise here. charles is here being crazy as ever, but at least his accent isn't anything special anymore. it seems like all the brits can understand exactly what he says, while it is still puzzling to most of us.
i got to focus on my mustard lines now........

LONDON CALLING

CARO IS IN LONDON

it's been 3 days now since i m here on my 2nd Quarter Away. right now i am living with my friend Lucas. He and his three flatmates have a wonderful house in Southfields, south of the river thames. it's right next to a small park with a ittle lake. Its so gorgeous. The have deks on the top floor and day and night they spin their vinyls. The weather is great and London is awsome. just yesterday after our 1st flatviewing we went to bricklane and into hackney. there were very few people around but the whole atmosphere was great. we met a friend of lucas' and went to a little market. we meet some friends of lucas friend. after strolling around the market we went back to the rooftopparty. the 'rooftopparty'was just unbelievable. before the market we had been walking around the bricklane area and heard some electromusic coming from the rooftops. some guys were leaning over and waved us up. the terrace gave an amazing view. u could see the towerbridge, the 'egg' and everything else. they had deks and the music was amazingly loud and good. after a beer we went to the market from which we returned to the rooftopparty.
fuck, it's been crazy. and in between there's the flat hunting. it isn't the most fun thing to do, but i am getting more and more nervous to find a good room here. 3 viewings already and lots more to come.
